Posted 17 years ago #Ha ha oh man that's awesome...
People have the same jokes as the NBC yaps when they hear what the groups name is..oh well good lookin out Bill Paxton, I've never watched that show but I might do it now cause of this. (yeah seriously) -
Posted 17 years ago #I think that the interplay between Bill P and the woman host for a part of that conversation is hilarious. Bill P is just chill about it and talking about how it's entertaining, some cats have a message, and some are about supporting the family... and meanwhile, the woman has to go and make that "someone ripped a fart" thizz face when she asks what he likes about it... I can't believe she said "some of it's nasty though"... yeah, and tell me that no other genre of music has its lewd topics. Go look in your daughter's music cabinet and see what they're telling her. Anyone remember ZZ Top?

Posted 17 years ago #Yeah, funny that this just surfaced.. .
Reason being is that my girl and I we're at the show just before it all started. We ended up standing next to Bill. Real cool guy.. . at first I thought it was someone else, obviously I was wrong.
Anyways, we ended up standing there and talking to he and his son for a few minutes. He asked who else I listened to besides The P and if I had seen The P before. He said he and his son had just seen Immortal Technique a few days prior, I was tripped out. I mean seriously, you look at him and his son and you wouldn't even think they we're into this underground sh!t. I guess its just a testament that hip hop can and will transcend all barriers and stereotypes!!
But yea, he asked where my girl and I we're from, we told him him Old Town Orange, he then said ohhhh yea, I filmed a couple movies there. We thought he was bullshitt'n until he name droppped Chapman College.. . right then I knew he wasnt bullshizzle'n.
Anyways, funny little thing.. . while we we're talking, he pointed out to his son this little honey standing like 15 feet away with some friends. He's like son, go talk to her, she's cute.. . i started to bust up, I thought that sh!t was cool- he was try'n to set his son up, but his son was being all shy and sh!t. I ended up offering the kid $20 to go and talk to her, but he got all bashful and just tried to change the subject.. . good stuff!
So after all that then the show starts.. . we get through UG and Cut Chemist, next thing you know and The P are about to come out.. . right.
By now, the place is packed, I lost sight of Bill and his son, right.
Well, I'd say like 20-30 minutes into The P's set, I look up and over to the left where homeboy from CCR's was vibe'n it and what do ya kno.. . the kids up on stage watch'n The P from the side of the stage.
Anyways, that was my encouter with Bill Paxton at the show.
Peace. -
