Any of you guys really heard anything coming out that's good? I haven't heard anything really since Fun DMC. There's been stuff out there that's so so, a few good tracks or whatever, but nothing that has really got my attention, nothing to garner repeated listening for a long time.
I know DOOM's got a new cd out, I'll get that when I got money, but I've heard DOOM, i mean, I need something new. Someone brand new. And some fresher beats...that's another thing I've found lacking with newer releases.
Maybe I'm just not looking as hard as I used to cause of the frustration. Lemme know if you guys have any suggestions. PS a suggestion from me (though the CD came out in 08 i believe) is Median. Check his myspace he's real real nice.

But I second Nujabes if you're looking to chill. Metaphorical Music was good, so was Modal Soul. -

Posts: 21Posted 17 years ago #Yeah Dirty Science is tight, I got that one on vinyl for decently cheap. Fly (Song of LIberation) feat. Blue is definately my favorite song on there.
I'll definately check out Nujabes, that's a group I've heard a lot about but never gotten around to listening. I always love some chill hip hop. Speaking of chill hip hop. any of you ever heard Grassroots/been able to get that album. Apparently it's almost impossible to get unless you're willing to pay like 50 bucks or something ridiculous.
Five Deez is my sh!t. Cool story is (I forget which members, but I believe one is Fat Jon) that they actually went to the same high school as I did here in Cincinnati.
Animal Collective is decent, what I'm really into as far as rock goes is the Black Keys. Those dudes kill it man I cannot find a bad song on any of their albums. -

The japanese are straight up killing the entire jazz/hip hop genre. Check out 'Olive Oil' ... madness.
