Even though it's obvious most of us have a musical talent, I think it's a pity that more of us on here aren't in the sampling/scratching/beat digging life.
'Cause I think it would be an awesome contest to name a completely random group of records and see what the tightest samples/breaks you can pull from them would be.
Like... if I just randomized my iPod and pulled the first albums that showed up:
In Search of the Lost Chord (Moody Blues)
Fat Albert Rotunda (Herbie Hancock)
Late For The Future (Galactic) (which reminds me, I've always wanted to see someone sample "Black-Eyed Pea")
Ta-Dah (Scissor Sisters) (oh, good god...)
Wave (Antonio Carlos Jobim) (CTI Records, y'all... my best guess for a sample from here would be "Captain Bacardi")
Anyway, just a thought...
