I know a couple of PUTS fans live in England, I'm going there for vacation on December 11th -21st. I may hit up Liverpool during the week.
It will be my first time visiting England, I live here in Cali.
Any advice on what to see/not to see as far as tourist sights, any places where I should check out, I'm also planning on checking out some Premiership games, any advice on that.

Posts: 3,618Posted 16 years ago #yeah! had an ill walk round town on saturday afternoon - getting dark early and all the lights coming up, real nice. Just wandering round and thinking "damn! there's a castle and a battleship just chilling right here" definitely take some of that for granted! It's getting colder now so make sure you bring a scarf and coat dude!
You got to check out a real pub my man - some nice ones in town, Princess Louise in Holborn springs to mind... or head south a bit for a more suburban pub vibe. See if there's any shows on? Jazz Cafe or Cargo always got some good nights on. Shunt Vaults underneath London Bridge is cool. Borough Market near there is a good shout on a thursday/friday/sat to check out some niiiice food (used to work there!). Brick Lane / Shoreditch is a good place to check out, if you like seeing guys who are too cool for their own good with stupid haircuts
'real' tourist spots tho... London Eye is always worth the money. Definitely something historic - Tower of London is awesome. I f***ing love London Zoo (maybe that's just me). the Natural History Museum is badass also, and free to get in
it can be hard to get tickets for the Premiership matches so I'd try to book in advance if you can or even check out a league 1 game - which can be even more atmospheric, hardcore local crowds and a good vibe

Posts: 428Posted 16 years ago #Yo! Slum Village are on at Jazz Cafe on the 14th dude! Dunno if you're a fan but I'm pretty sure I'll be there. Also Guilty Simpson and MED are at Plan B on the 11th that I'm also planning on going to. In case your looking for records I'd have a few places to reccommend.
