What do you guys think of the facebook campaign to get the RATM's 'Killing in the Name' track to the UK Christmas number one rather than Simon Cowell's X factor winner Joe McElderry? I find the whole thing fascinating both tracks to me are gash though. I work as a music production degree lecturer in the same department that trained Joe up (don't blame me) and some other production and music lecturers nearly got sacked this week for slagging off the xfactor which would have been a nice Christmas for them - not.
If you don't know what I am talking about here is a google news link

Posted 16 years ago #i think it's hilarious to get that into number 1 instead of X Factor. I consider both to be cheesy but still... has RATM officially re-released it as a single or is it just purely from digital sales?

I love that chat man, the people of the UK still have a sense of humor and can see the bland sh!te that is pop music for what it really is... this gives me some christmas cheer for sure.
