Posts: 1,874Posted 16 years ago #Yo any of you cats from Canada? I'm thinking about moving out there to study and hopefully stay permanently. I've had enough of the UK, it's f*cked. In all probability Canada will be almost equally as f*cked, but i doubt it... So, I was thinking about studying in Vancouver or Toronto, any thoughts on those cities would be appreciated... -

Like a measure of the people in glasgow is rough as f*ck, loud, abrasive, but also full of energy and drink and drugs... Your average glaswegian isn't very nice though i don't think... It's a hard city to live in, if you find yourself in the wrong area, you are f*cked, if you look at someone in the wrong way, you're in trouble etc...
I've heard canadians are really decent people. I just wanted some confirmation of that... -

Truth be told, Canada sounds pretty f*ckin' nice. I'd say try it out or at least stopover for a few days after a P show in the US and see how you like it... -

People don't like Toronto because, for a Canadian city, it's pretty american-ish.
Vancouver is pretty sweet, but if you were coming to study, i would recommend Montreal, for sure... it's got everything you would ever want, culture to spare,
and a wicked music festival every summer...
not to mention the french chicks.
let me know when you get here, we'll party down.
EDIT: the P is playing Toronto on feb. 20th.... some added incentive for ya. -

I had heard that vancouver was the place to be in canada, but there's not much love here for bc i see... well I've applied to go study at queens in montreal and the university of toronto, so i guess whoever takes me is where i'll go. Not gonna be doing that till at least sept 2010...
By the way, is anyone else head-f*cked by this 2010 chat? For me, 2010 is like THE FUTURE you know what i mean? Hover boards and laser guns and giant robots and sh!t... -

And according to South Park up in Canada have detachable upper heads, and have square tires on their cars, and there's only one road which leads everywhere and anywhere. -

I've been to Toronto, Vancouver and some smaller cities along the way. Really enjoyed both cities, especially Toronto. Very diverse place with great culture and food, probably a little cold for my tastes (up here in Seattle it's not nearly as cold as most places in North America). Also, yeah this 2010 stuff is really getting to me, it feels so futuristic and what not, I expected more like people flying n' sh!t. Then again, could any one of us imagine life being like this 5 or 10 years ago? All this sh!t we got here today is pretty remarkable.
