Me and my boys are getting serious with our music talent. My boy has 2 thousand records and he also has some turntables and right now we are trying to get a deal on a mpc and try to start doing our own thing and just start recording. -

Posts: 3,255Posted 16 years ago #Only written one rap in my time as a musician, the rest was just some piano and vocals bullsh*t (with the exception of one guitar and vocals song). I mean, if I'd had the time to create something with a backing band, it would've sounded better, but I mostly just sat alone creating all this intricate-time-signature, strange-key-change style personal sh*t. Performed it at moderately-packed coffeehouses and some people dug on it, but nothing major.
Looking back, I wouldn't have showcased about 65% of it, but I had some gems in there. -

Posts: 428Posted 16 years ago #Word Sactown..I'd be interested to hear some of your stuff as it sounds very interesting to me.. I feel you on the personal thing tho. There's some beats I've made that pretty much no one else apart from me has heard as they were just made for me, to get it out.
I've dj'd and also performed some live mpc stuff at clubs, write raps very occasionally these days.. recorded some vocals awhile ago but the beats are huge priority for me right now.
And SacChamp.. you got a real good flow, nice old school vibes dude.

don't really mess around with making music to put out anymore. i make beats but nothing on the level of some other "bedroom" producers. my sh!t's computer based, just 4/4 and not real choppy, i tend to follow the groove of the original sample. but marriage and kids occupy my time now. -
