after a recent scare i had with my laptop, i was left wondering how other people back their project data up, wether it be from software based programs or their samplers.
i personally just half ass copy my fl studio data to a external hd,
and for my mpc, i dub my cf card to the hd too...

Posted 16 years ago #I've learned the hard way in the past, so I back up like the gestapo!! I have a dedicated 16 gb flash drive, and as a secondary backup, I burn data DVDs. I just label them and throw 'em back on the spindle.

Yeah, I need to get one-a these badly. I've got three 500 Gb HDs, and all of them are actually filling up FAST. I need to stop being such a pack-rat, I guess.
You're right about making a mess. Since it's a virtual space, rather than physical, like the top of desk or a counter, it's not actually "in the way", so you hold off on cleaning, and then you can't find anything. "Where is that beat I laid down last November? F#&*!!"
