Posted 16 years ago #east wittering broke that sh!t down n clarified it. thanks.
i was having a ponder last night and was thinking, what makes us like and dislike certain tastes, i understand how outside influences influence musical taste and personality but taste... i personally dont like the taste or smell of vinegar, others love it, no one has influnced me to dislike it, my family like it, but i dont...
what yall think? -
Posted 16 years ago #Nice one East W.
That made my head hurt thinking all about that stuff... and thats why my new mix still aint done
goddamn lame excuses... I will do it.
Anyway...
I'm not sure if this a mind blowing question or not but...
What do wasps do?
and another question while I'm 'ere.
When it starts getting dark and the stars start coming out...
The first star you can usually see (well where I am) is Venus... a planet.
And then you can see a few more "stars"...
So my question is...
Are the fisrt few stars you can see actually planets or moons in our solar system either reflecting light from the sun or are they the stars closest to us or are they the brightest ones due to their mass? and distance doesnt really come into it?
Peace. -
Posted 16 years ago #Wasps do nothing... they serve no other purpose than trying to make summer miserable, all they do is mess up the humble bumbe bees good reputation by using its colours and stinging people. Evil little gits.
DOWN WITH WASPS!
lol.
Peace -
Posted 16 years ago #I can picture them now, sitting in their hive on the sofa in their pants drinking beer, watching wasp football or Wasps got talent (simon Wasp: So what are you going to do for us today? Mentally ill Wasp: STING PEOPLE!!)on their tv planning their day...
Wasp 1: So what shall we do today?
Wasp 2: I dunno, sting someone perhaps?!
Educated Wasp: How about we actually help someone today we could maybe...
Wasp 2: GET HIM!
Educated Wasp: Arghh ZzzzzZzzzz (thats him flying away FYI!) -
Posted 16 years ago #Wasps are kind of fun for the panic that they create in other people, you have to admit... There's not much more fun than a wasp flying in to the office and everyone panicking... I don't really care about wasps, if you leave em alone they don't f*ck with you in my experience. I've been stung a couple of times, but only cos one landed in my ear and I slapped it...
Now, midgees, there are some demonic basteds... they're a direct predator of the human race... they deserve your hatred and ire... -
Posted 16 years ago #lol. midgees dun bother me. seem to not like my blood.
my question for the day is this, BTW i watched big fish... if you could find out right here, right now in a 100% certain way, how and when you would die, would you want to know???
sure if you see yourself as a 110yrold man on a bed smoking a doob and falling asleep then it would be great but waht if you saw a middle aged you in a car accident? would you avoid driving forever? what would you do?
another question that comes out of this, is if you knew, what could you do about it? its the future so it aint happened yet, but if its inevitable then it will happen no matter what?

Posted 16 years ago #This has been bugging me for awhile and we've got some brains 'ere.
So maybe someone can answer...
What the Dickens is the 4th Dimension?
I am lead to believe that humans have 2D vision but our brain adjusts it so we appear to see in 3D?
So we've got left to right, forwards to backwards and up and down yes?
And thats the 3 dimensions?
So can we only see in 2 Dimensions but our brains make us think its 3 Dimensional. To see 3 Dimensional would we have to live in a 4 Dimensional world?!
But what is the 4th, if it exsists?!
Does it exsist and is it around us now but we are unable of seeing, hearing, smelling, touching etc it?
Also what we can see... is that what things really look like?!
Like we could see a shape like O but it could look like a tube or something else in some other reality/dimension?!
Hmm this is maybe too much for a Friday morning... no ones gonna wanna be drinking with me tonight... except maybe Stephen Hawkin haha.
Peace. -
Posted 16 years ago #I always thought the 4th dimension was time...
-
Posted 16 years ago #Hmm yeah I've heard that mentioned
Things are less clear :-?
What constitutes a dimension? -
Posted 16 years ago #a plane of space...
Am i right in saying that you can't have a 1 dimensional anything? even a line has 2 dimensions right? -
Posted 16 years ago #I dont know I've spoken to some 1 dimensional people and seen some one dimensional football teams lol.
Route one!
Well if a line was drawn here __________ to here its one dimension across but then there is the thickness of the line?!
Which is another dimension?
Maybe there is only 1 dimension and everything is contained in that? -
Posted 16 years ago #yeah dude, even if the line is only 1 atom wide, it still has a thickness, so it still has a second dimension. If it's second dimension was zero, then the first dimension wouldn't exist right?
-
Posted 16 years ago #Yeah thats what I thought... but even tho it looks a 1 dimensional line... it has a thickenss even if its an atom deep... but thats all we can see... it could have a dimension thats like a mile wigh (high/wide I dont know what a term for a 4 dimensional shape would be).
So dimensions cannot exsist without other dimensions?!
Or is it that there is a set number of dimensions, 3 and thats it and to exsist a shape/item has to be visible in at least 2 dimensions?!
But a line drawn on paper isn't really a dimesion... well the lead on the paper could be microscopic in size so its there... but if you zoomed in more in wouldnt be a line it would be all broken like /// ///// //// / /// // but from far away it looks like a solid line? So the 4th dimension... if it isnt time could be here but its not visible because to see the bigger picture you have to be so far away?! Maybe the universe is a dimension and outside that is some other crazy dimensions?!
Once we've answered this Dodo we can move on to reality and preceived reality :-?

Posted 16 years ago #I just read actually, that the 4th dimension is no longer agreed to be time,
In mathematics the fourth dimension, or a four-dimensional ("4D") space, is an abstract concept, derived by generalizing the rules of three-dimensional space. It has been studied by mathematicians and philosophers for almost two hundred years, both for its own interest and for the insights it offered into mathematics and related fields.
Algebraically it is generated by applying the rules of vectors and coordinate geometry to a space with four dimensions. In particular a vector with four elements (a 4-tuple) can be used to represent a position in four-dimensional space. The space is a Euclidean space, so has a metric and norm, and so all directions are treated as the same: the additional dimension is indistinguishable from the other three.
The fourth dimension in this space was sometimes interpreted as time, but this is no longer done in modern physics. In the last century spacetime was developed, which unifies space and time but with a different metric so the time dimension is treated differently from Euclidean space. The resulting space is a Minkowski space and is usually studied separately from the space described here.
My brain hurts. Can't we just talk about football and hip hop and girls and weed again? :-?
