Sactown, the course I am taking is a 3 quarter long (1 school year) course. It goes far and wide into mathematics and its role in solving physics problems. We cover as little theory as possible, in order to move onto the applications as quickly as possible, hence I took up the math major as well. The theory fascinates me. We just went through an extensive treatment of normed vector spaces and linear algebra and applied that to problems involving the matrix mechanics interpretation of quantum mechanics due to Heisenberg.

And trench, hell yeah brotha, go for the Md/PhD if that is truly what you see yourself doing. Because that kind of thing is for life, you know what I mean? You have to make sure you love the field. I have a cousin currently a post-doc working on her MD. She says its hard work of course, but she loves it too much to stop now. I say, find a passion, and rape its ass so hard, that when you die, you'll have no regrets. You live life once guys, live it to the fullest!!!!!

Exactly! Especially since you spend those quarters with the same people mostly. So you get to know them and work on homework together. Except the one thing that bugs me is that they all have never heard of the PUTS, or even A Tribe Called Quest.

During a study session, one guy asked what I was listening to, I said "Oh dude, some classic Common Sense." He replied "WTF, why are you listening to an audio book of Thomas Paine's pamphlet?"

I invited this girl to study with me at the library, (you know how it is) and I always have PUTS/funky stuff in my ear at low volume when im studying, so people always ask what im listening to. She asked me, I said, "Some nice hip hop! Wanna listen?" She said "No thanks, I dont listen to retards attempting poetry." WHAT?@!?@ (Retards Attempting Poetry = r.a.p. -_-)
