   Has anyone else out there tried to cash in on Thes' offer of a free CD if you buy the album on iTunes? When I heard about it on Instagram (http://instagram.com/p/miy3EJOxcA/) I immediately pre-ordered the album. While I'd love to give them more money by buying a CD, I'm a broke college student and buying it on iTunes is probably the best I can do.

   I know that you're supposed to bring some proof of purchase to the show, but I just want to ask: is there anything specific they want? Is it difficult to cash in on this?

   I have the feeling that the P wouldn't be too uptight about it, but you never know. Just don't want to miss out on an opportunity to get a physical copy of the now-legendary 12SP!!

   I can field this one, homie:

   At the album release show, Thes asked me to cut off the merch line so he could rock the show (mentioned it in more detail in another thread), and while I was trying to gently let people down and have them come back later, a guy in line asked me about the free CD for the iTunes preorder thing. I talked to Thes about it, and he said "Yeah, definitely!" So I let the guy be the last one Thes helped before the merch closed, and the guy showed his receipt and got a CD for it. (I think Thes signed it too, but DQMOT.)

   So yeah, I saw it in action. You'll definitely get your CD as long as you've got a way to show you bought it. I'm THINKING you can just whip out your iPhone and show him your Purchased Music menu (under Playlists) or bring your iTunes receipt...

   Of course, this will all depend in Thes having the CD in stock. He had a GANG of them at the album release show, so I wouldn't be too worried.

   Hey, man. I hate to be the bearer of bad news (just like telling that merch line to come back later... how am I gettin' all the sh*t jobs lately??), but:

   According to Thes' latest Instagram post, all of his CDs and LPs for the tour got sold out in the first five shows, and unlike the T-Shirts and other merch, he can't get his hands on more in enough time to have them at the shows... At least, I think that's what he's saying...

   MAYBE you can work a deal with him at the show, like... you buy the CD on Amazon or wherever you can get it, and then tell him you got it and "can I get a free tour T-shirt or something?"... I dunno.......

   damn, i WANT one of those tour shirts, bit getting down to NYC/Boston is just not in the cards for us right now.

   or ever again, for that matter, the way things are looking here lately. i miss having money.

   Damn, that's disappointing to hear. I doubt that he has any on reserve so I'll temper my expectations. I wasn't really looking to haggle or ask for free stuff so I'll probably just check at the merch table and call it good if they don't have it. Thanks for keeping me posted on this, though. Still looking forward to the show; I should just be grateful for that and a new album's worth of jams!
