on the hippy weed tip, a friend of a friend's dad is an old skool smoker, not a fan of these super strains, rekons theyre getting to chemically enhanced, also rekons theres waaaaay too much THC and not enough CBDs in em, thats why they tend to mong u out instead of make u do sh!t, neways, hes got a little greenhouse at the back of his garden, nuffin major, an he always got seeds goin naturally from bou march till september, sometimes the plants flower sumtimes it jus dies and gets burnt, but all his weed is bou as natural as poss, maybe sum fertilizer to help em but thats it. weneva we go ova this mates he always offers us a doob, an u know, its nice change, u cud smoke it during the day an it wudnt mong u out, jus gives u crazy red eye after 1 so u need shades, also, the leaves are crap, my mates dad jus uses em in a teapot with tea leaves, sorta give u a buzz but thas it.

So true.
I find it gives me "focus" when I play football, like Matrix stylee. -
Posted 16 years ago #So how long have you been practicing open handed combat Dodo?
Sounds like quite awhile to achieve that level.
Does it stand you in good stead for discipline and confidence outside the Dojo?
I dont mean like fighting but like better desicion making and being able to say to your boss "No Col Sanders... you're wrong!!" -
Posted 16 years ago #AH HA HA... I kick col sanders ass on a regular basis. Well I've been training as an adult for about 3 years, but i did about 4 years when I was a kid. Stopped at 13 though, so took a 10 year break!
I've totally noticed a difference in my demeanour. I'm calmer, more rational... And the way I hold myself has changed too, I don't hunch over as much as i used to, and I walk with my back straight etc... It's definitely increased my self confidence in physical, and non-physical situations.
We also do quite a lot of ground work, jiu-jitsu style, which has helped a lot in pinning down my gf
I've never been in a proper fight, and I never want to be in a fight. I'm a (fantastic) lover, not a fighter...
I don't think martial arts and weed are mutually exclusive, I reckon you can do both and be just fine. -
Posted 16 years ago #If there's an art called Drunken Boxing out there, I'm sure they can make room for High-Jitsu. Dodo's just working on being the Sinsemilla Sensei.
you smoke dodo? said: which has helped a lot in pinning down my gf
you must be really strong to be able to pin your gf down... I mean... she has no limbs... she's four times your weight... and didn't she file down her teeth into points last winter?
