It's common knowledge in my house that the P reigns. They are the go to music when we're in the car until I get overridden by whatever my wife wants to listen to.
So, I was telling her about the new store Thes was putting up and all the cool things I'll be spending money on, probably the 3rd or 4th time I told her about it. This morning, I went on about the P hat and she was like "You're going to spend $40 on a hat that isn't a Cubs hat?" and I said "Hell yeah, it'll have a P!"
I guess she's had enough about me extolling about the P so to that, she put a finger to her head and said "Shoot me with a PUTS bullet"
So, to all you married P fans, what has your other half said that you're like "What did you just say about the P?" but in the end is just funny?

Your wife has a cracking sense of humour mate, you're a lucky basted...
My GF makes all the right noises about liking hip hop and that, and she can dance to it good, real good, but i think she prefers her own taste in music, all dylan and hendrix and that kinda stuff. Not that i'm complaining, she's educating my dumb ass...
She does know how much i love the P, and that she should nod and smile when i tell her about how excited I am that i got a beat tape from thes, or that i'm in the run for the next stets on ebay... ha ha... -

She understands the magnitude of my respect for PUTS & in return gives it back. There are 2 things in life that keep me going(besides the obvious wife/family/friends) 1) PUTS/Music 2)Baseball GO GIANTS!

Posts: 1,528Posted 16 years ago #Oh, she likes the P. She really liked the Yo Gabba Gabba references on "Carried Away" since she watches it almost everyday with our twin boys. She actually caught it before me since I rarely catch the show. She's very much into Hip-Hop. A huge Roots and Mos Def fan. So yeah, I'm lucky I married someone with similar tastes.
And yes, I will be at the Chicago show. I may rock my Cubs fitted just so you can recognize me, yo! -

Posts: 3,255Posted 16 years ago #My girl tolerates it, but DJ-ed hip hop just isn't her taste. She actually likes Hang Loose and a few other tracks though, so it ain't all bad. She REALLY likes "The Influence" by J5 and "A Little Samba" by UD, so she's got her moments.
Once, my girl got her nicknames for PUTS confused and asked one of my (slightly homophobic) homies if he was "down with the P-ness"... it was funny watching him freak out: "nah, i like WOMEN, sh*t."
