I'd buy it, and pay a lot. Love to see whatever you have to offer.
EDIT: ...in whatever format too. I'd rather have a 4 LP set, like you initially said, but if I get a CD, I won't be pissed or anything. And if you offer both, I'm buying both.

CD is also prefferred over record, to reiterate not everyone has a turn table but who dosen't own a PC with a CD drive? -

Posts: 372Posted 16 years ago #I'd still prefer to see a seven inch box set, something akin to the Atlantic 45 series or the Ultimate Breaks and Beats box set. But with really sturdy packaging. So basically an expensive $100+ limited run for those with the cash (I'd buy probably buy 2 copies, one for me and one for my brother) and a CD/Digitlal version that everybody could afford.
A 7" box set might also be a bit cheaper to produce and also easier to send through the post too. Although I have no idea how much it there's much cost difference between cutting 7"'s or LP's. I know that with hardcover books and paperbacks there's only about $1 difference in production costs. -

Posts: 281Posted 16 years ago #I'd shell out for that type of deal. Even if it was just a cardboard box w/ 4 separate vinyl jackets (see what Stones Throw did with the Dam Funk 5LP set, they sold it for $50).
I'd also like the remix of The Fun (52:58 on Funner Than Leather). I also second the DJ Day remix of Step Bacc. -

I'm only 16 and my parents don't own (but do want, so there is some hope) a turntable. When I'm older and have my own cash, I'll definetely have a turntable, and then I'll be huntin for all you guys' vinyl stuff, but for now I've gotta settle with CDs, so if you could put the unreleased stuff on CD's I'd def buy and appreciate it. -

I would no doubt buy a 6lp set of instrumentals, music to me is a very important part of my life, and PUTS/thes beats/DubK stuff has always been a pleasure to listen to.
I just recently invested about $1500 in a sound system (im only 19, a college student, used to work 6 days a week, got laid off and now i just found an even better job that im beginning at the end of march :p ).
I would most likely go and buy a vinyl player for this set as well and hook it up to my system
plus im long overdue for one, i have a ton of vinyl in my room but its just for decoration right now haha 
all of these ideas are really amazing and the effort and will you have to put into these projects is very appreciated by all of us.
a even more limited CD version would also probably be a good idea as well for the fans who cant get ahold of vinyl players or cant dish out $50+

He wants to release the vinyl in the collector's crate or whatever but also include a USB stick/drive with all the instrumentals in .wav form. It's just an idea he shot out to us to see how it sounded. Satisfies both sides. -

Sounds perfect to me.
I want that vinyl, but vinyl for me instantly means that I have to rip it so I can get it on my ipod so I can bang it in the car and at work and whatnot. So the USB flash drive is a perfect idea. -
