Posts: 1,659Posted 16 years ago #I aint manned up yet, but i gotta get a tattoo soon,i nearly had "...say no to crack..." tattood above my ass on the bottom my back, but luckily my good mate talked me out of it while i was bent over the tatoo table. lol. my other mates wud of let me have it tho. haha. but wen i get one dun i was thinkin somethin P related was in order...
I had an idea to prehaps find a fav verse or rhyme and have that tattood somewhere on my body, i also like the People Under The Stairs writing off the flyer on the homepage and also the Carried Away looks good too, all i know is its gonna be a tattoo related to music as its been as big a part of my life and influnced me as much as my family and friends have.

LOL haha, it was just a thought, I have a lot of friends with music influenced art on their body, if I ever get anything I'd like to get something that sort of relates to the P in some way, and if you think all they rhyme about is beer you need to listen to some of their deep songs because dude... they have a lot of them

If PUTS is a big enough influence in your life that you get it tatted on your body & some lady is dissin' on it, chances are you'd be on the splits regardless. I can think of a lot worse things to get a tattoo of. A Tattoo is nothing to take lightly though, so do what you feel is right Kyle.
My advice would be to do a lot of research about your local artists, take your idea to them, let them create a one-of-a-kind piece for you. Maybe they could make a cool pic out of the letters PUTS or something... In my experience, it's a good thing to have to be put on a waiting list. If an Artist can get you in right when you walk through the door, chances are they aren't at the top of their field... This isn't always the case though so I guess what I am trying to say is just do your homework. -

I have to agree with Alibi 100% on this. I'm willing to bet that even Thes & Double K would agree with this. I can already imagine you showing up to one of their shows and you eagerly running up to Thes or Double to show off your tattoo. As they realize what you have done, they nod their heads and plan to stay away from the obsessed groupie for the rest of the night. But whatever man. Live and let live. -

haha dude, I'm def not "that guy" and I've met thes and double before, I was at the Chicago show awhile back, drove all the way from memphis, it's diff when something inspires you or relates to you, and I guess you just don't feel that way about them, but obviously there are people out there who do feel that way about them and don't have a problem voicing it or using the art to show to the world....
I think people took this thread a little weird because I'm not saying I'm some crazy obsessed omg lemme touch you type of fan, I have been listening to the P since the next step in 99 and feel strongly about the lyrics, the beats, and the way of life the band rhymes about,
it was strictly a thread to see who's done it or would do it, to talk about their experience because I think it would be cool to have a piece of art somewhere on me that represents what this music has done for my life, and my spirit -

Plus, i've seen a whole bunch of worse tatoos than a PUTS or a Carried Away, or a Cat. I was thinking about getting a Cat (with the swirly eyes or whatever) but I bottled it, and figured if i was gonna get a tatoo i'd want something more serious, but that's just me.
I think you would have to think long and hard about it though, you could end up with a f*cking horrendous PUTS tatoo ha ha. Dub K's face grinning up at you or something
No offense dub k, but i don't think you make a good tatoo 
I want to get a tatoo of the hindu holy figure Arjuna, as my middle name is Arjuna, and my mothers side of the family has a hindu background... I think tatoos are legit as long as they have some kind of personal significance.
A guy I knew at school had all the same tatoos as Tupac. There are some proper idiots out there... -

The closest I ever got was when I was a kid and I was doing stupid sh*t 'cause I thought it was funny... I was bored enough to take a temporary stick-on tattoo of Yoshi from a copy of Nintendo Power and put on my ass, tongue towards crack, and walk around mooning my friends, but that was about it. Ah, to be young again. -

Posts: 1,659Posted 16 years ago #LOL, i remember the shop by me used to sell lollypops with fake tatoos, they were pretty cool, like anchors, love heats and skulls. didnt influnce me to have a tattoo tho, and they say kids are easily led, then again, used to buy chocolate ciggarettes and pretend to smoke? lol.
