So I was thinking that we could have a more general, broad discussion of music. Doesn't have to have too much "Yeah! Right on!" if you don't want it to, but it would be cool to keep a thread like this moving. I want to see where your minds go with this. Basically, just post the first music-related things that come into your head, and if you want to use a previous post as a jumping-off point, dewrit! And if you want to say something unrelated, go for it!
I'll start it off with some familiar ground: I think I've always liked Einstein's sample work on "Abigail Silk". Even if the raps are a little saccharin (still like 'em tho), that verse beat with the keys is a real smooth one. Same goes for "Endless Summer". He's always at his best on the smooth sh*t.
Also, I saw that other thread where everyone was talking about Beck, and I saw that there wasn't much love for Sea Change. I'm gonna (respectfully) disagree on that one. It's Iike a modern "Here, My Dear"; his breakup hit him hard, so he walked it off on that album. Maybe it's because I'm a sucker for melancholy atmospheric tunes, but there's something about how he crafted that album that probably puts it in my Top 10. Sure it's more accessible than his other ones, but it's solid.
Anyone have anything to say about anyone? First thing that comes into your mind... GO.
