   Can't really not mention this.

   I know there is a range of political opinions across the UK, and I respect that. But today I'm absolutely gutted, angry and dejected.

   This morning it was announced that the UK will be leaving the EU.
   48.1% voted to remain. 51.9% voted to leave.

   I understand people's problems with bureaucracy and accountability within such a large organisation, but the leave campaign was based on fear of immigration and financial mis-information.

   The result is that our economy is going to plummet. Scotland may well now leave the UK. Northern Ireland may well now leave the UK and re-join Ireland as a whole. The EU may suffer a similar disintegration. And big cities like London, Cardiff and Manchester, which overwhelmingly voted to remain, are stuck with middle England and Wales in a situation we did not vote for.

   This has been a sh!tty week. RIP Sactown. RIP EU. RIP UK.

   I am not usually this pessimistic but it has been a strange year all around...we had a close call here in Austria with the Presidential elections and my home country (U.S.) is getting a bad sort of funky. 2016 has been a downer in my book.

   I'm sorry Europe, I feel ashamed to be English.

   I really do fear for the future. Think it's time to move...to Europe!

   It's embarrassing. It makes you think that there should be a screening exercise to ensure you know what/why you are voting.
   It's really distasteful that the far right have been given a legitimate platform and nationalism will (is) on the rise. The moderate right have been given a huge push.

   I've just come back from a couple of days working in Germany & everyone I met asked the same two questions....."why did you vote to leave Europe & how did you loose to Iceland?" Sadly I couldn't do anything else than shrug & apologise for the narrow minded regressive attitude my country has. And to be fair Iceland played us off the pitch. I fear for the children,

   Really can't tell anymore.

   Everyone seems to have been more concerned with fogging the issue and insulting/discrediting others and their opinions surrounding the referendum rather than spreading information and hard facts so voters would be able to make a real decision. Not having a go at you, freshkest, but that video is a very good example.

   I've pretty much abstained from voicing any opinion on Brexit since:
   1. I'm not from the UK
   2. I'm not even from Europe
   3. I don't have a full understanding of what it means to be in the EU
   4. I don't have a full understanding of what it means to leave the EU.

   That all being said, I'm looking forward to seeing the effects of the UK's exit and whether the other countries will have their own referendums, thereby possibly dismantling/crippling the EU.
