[...] I don't think it's particularly special to sell off so and so many (extra) "test pressings" that were manufactured specifically to be sold...
From what I understand Redef's TPs are the real deal and have usually been used for their intended purpose (= played to determine the sound quality, etc.) [...]
Officially confirmed:
Here's your one and only chance to grab a piece of history, in the form of a one-of-a-kind test-pressing by People Under The Stairs (first time ever). Tests will likely shows signs of light use / handling. These are super limited in quantities as they are real test pressings, not manufactured as collectibles (Please DO NOT buy these with intentions of flipping it on discogs or ebay. We'll be watching!).
Those test pressing look lovely!! $100 is a lot so I didn't go for that - just got a regular copy and the instrumentals at the same time.
On the test pressings Thes just said:
I hate marking sh!t up like that but everytime we don't, people buy them up and instantly resale them on eBay for 10 times what I charge. So at least the money comes back to puts this way
There's only 24 copies for sale too, so fair enough! Also looks like Thes is asking for the buyer's name, and will hand write it onto the test press, so it will be harder to sell on!
Can't wait to get the vinyl though. The 'regular' one still looks amazing. Great artwork and awesome colour swirl

Update: the test pressings are sold out on the puts store! In less than 20 minutes.... BOOM!! (check Redef if you're quick!)
I considered the test pressing but, at 100bucks I can't justify it. 50 or 60 bucks maybe. I'm not that much of a collector.
Did get the regular vinyl so am happy enough.
Doubles over here! WoOT!
Can't believe the Test Presses sold out as fast as they did!
Bloody hell sold out in 20 mins! I really did log on just in time (although I bought the regular one not the test press as $100 is a lot rn).
Erm, so the verbiage being used is worrying me - is this the last release from the P? "Getting of Stage"; "a fitting end cap to the PUTS legacy"???
Also because I'm an excitable fool I didn't read the second line of the email with the discount code so cost myself an extra $6! Buy yourself a pint, fellas :)
Redefinition still have some test pressings. Ones in my cart. Do I blow some of my new bike fund on a single record?
I'm not going mad....check my vinyl & I did get in on PT1....phew!!! Treated myself to both versions, never owned a test press so had to be done!!!!

My 2 cents: don't. The regular version is more affordable, comes in a nicer package AND you won't feel guilty about playing such an expensive record/collector's item. I think that's one of the reasons I don't really go for test pressings and such - they strike me as show pieces more than anything else...
That being said, I hope whoever bagged those test pressings will cherish 'em.
Not sure whether the 20% discount applied to those as well, but that would've brought the price down a good bit (or enabled people to cop both the TP and the regular EP for just under 100$). Not a bad deal.
Twelve, I think you're right.
As $100 plus postage will equal £100(ish) and not knowing if redefinition will put actual value on customs declaration. Its a fair whack!
Yeah, crazy expensive international postage, the risk of receiving banged up/damaged sleeves/records as well as overzealous customs agents are a trifecta that's reduced my overseas purchases to almost nothing in the last couple of years.
And even before that I'd always find myself worrying for weeks on end.
Am I the only one wondering whether Thes will upload additional AM#2 tracks to soundcloud now that TGOS#2 has been released in all formats btw..? Fingers crossed.
