So to my absolute dismay, I am currently seeing THREE copies of the thanks giveback LP listed at 299.50 EACH!! are you kidding me? Thes specifically left a notecard asking not to sell on eBay. Im sure these copies were bought on the recent headstock sale.... this is utter bullshizzle and goes against the entire motto of the P. Can someone do anything about this?

This is why us real heads often miss out on LPs/merch when Thes puts it online, cos pricks like this are buying multiple copies to throw up on ebay. There is also one of the new hats going for $100...
Unfortunately I'm not sure if anything can be done about this.

I.e. you won't have any luck reporting items to ebay or discogs and having them taken down, because (re-)selling the items in question technically isn't breaking any rules; also those running the marketplaces stand to make their cut of any successful transaction...I realize this might sound weird, but try and look on the bright side:
Many of these resellers shoot themselves in the foot by greedily setting outragous prices no one (in their right mind) is willing to pay and no sale = zero profit. I'm also fairly certain it'd be a piece of cake for Thes to identify this particular indivual and blackball him from ever buying anything ever again.
I could elaborate on policies to try and curb this type of behavior or go on at some length about various other (petty) tactics (i.e. name and shame) to give perpetrators a taste of their own medicine, thereby lessening the appeal of trying to make a quick buck at the expense of artists and fans, but at the end of the day you've got to consider how much time and effort you really want to expend on these scumbags... You also don't want to sink to their level, do you?

Posts: 134Posted 9 years ago #I take great pride in the P Army and our close knit community and quite frankly disappointed dude was able to purchase 3 copies and still has the guts to sell it over 5 times face value.

But yeah, fuckery. I have a copy of SF Shakedown and was thinking about getting one of the LA ones. Thes didn't split them out though and I didn't want to ask him to set aside a copy if he had one. Maybe i'll lowball RareLimiteds.
Seems like a few bad actors - but less than before, no?
