First time I've seen the new forum, it's definitely changed up! (you can tell I haven't been here in a while!)
Has anyone tried out an innofader? I've ordered myself one which should be here soon but wondered if anyone's got any experience? I don't know why I'm asking after I've ordered the thing but I just wondered... Can't wait to stick it in my PMC07 and get cracking on it!!

My Innofader actually arrived yesterday, and damn it's good! Basically, it apparently works through capacitance so has no touching parts which is what makes it so smooth and doesn't need to be cleaned. It can also fit pretty much any mixer; one thing that really spoke to me was hearing about one guy who wanted to use 3 Innofaders in the same mixer - the crossfader and volume faders. It didn't work so the owner of the company told him to send it to him personally and he fixed it for him. The guy (Elliot) says if it doesn't fit your mixer to tell him and he'll get an adapter for it.
But, I've got a Vestax PMC07 as I said, and this you don't need an adapter for at all so that's all really redundant to me, it's just good customer service which I like.
The fader itself also has a 4mm stem (as opposed to the standard 2) so feels amazingly solid. It's got on board controls to change the curve and cut in, as well as change the resistance to make it stiffer or smoother.
It was 120-something dollars, so definitely more expensive than your average, but I think I was sold on hearing you don't have to clean it because it doesn't touch!
I've just reread that and realised how much it sounds like I don't work for them! I definitely don't but I am pleased with it, mainly because I've been without a mixer for about 2-3 months now.

There was speak a few years ago of making faders where it could be programmed to go off/on/off/on/off/on all in the one click. So you could do crabs just by clicking the fader off then on once but getting a multi click sound...

So can you adjust this fader on the fly or do you need to open your mixer up?
I've got loads of controls on my front panel (haha my mixers front panel) for curve and reverse for all faders which is nice.
When I first got it after a few weeks the fader stem which the knob goes on snapped!!!
Which shouldnt happen...
Anyway got a replacement sent and I've never had any problems... apart from the knob rises up the stem sometimes when I'm trying mad stratches innit.

Doesn't the Samurai have a pattern for this?
Curve pattern 4 would be the same, no?
With the Innofader no, you can't change the curve on the fly you need to open the mixer for this (I guess you could do it actually but think it would be a very bad idea!) I've got a Vestax PMC07 so I can change curve easy enough anyway.
What mixer is that you've got? I see it's got graphic EQ which I thought you could only get on Vestax but that's Penny & Giles no? Which model?

It looks like that Pattern 4 would do that... whats the point tho?
Its like playing an electric guitar and it doing the notes itself... why bother playing it in the first place?
I would feel like a fraud.
Its a Stanton SA-12 DJ Craze signature model, its not a mega expensive crazy bastard like a Rane but it does the job and has loads of features...
3 Band EQ with kills, on both channels and its slider knobs so you can work all 3 EQs with one hand.
Its got effects, Delay, Pitch Shift and Flaaaaaaaange on both channels and the 3rd channel mic or whatever.
The line input toggle switch is a mini crossfader on each channel and you can lock it so if you knock it accidently it wont cut the sound. Brings a new angle to the Aladdin Scratch.
You can listen to Pre/Master and Post via the headphones so you can pratice scratching in the headphones while a tune is playing and as long as you have the relevant fader down only you can hear it.
Ever fader has curve control and you can reverse them all.
You can also switch the channels so that 1 becomes 2 and 2 becomes 1 with the flick of the switch.
Really good for doing euro style (2 fader) scratching.
Loads of mad features which no other mixer had when it was released.
Also its got DJ Craze's name on... so you know its good.
And a Penny and Giles (Aircraft Quality) Fader!!

I got an Innofader for my decade old PMC05Pro and it revitalized it.
Cannot complain at all about the fader.
With the Innofader, the Vestax's curve control is still retained, so adjusting that is still a breeze.
And yet, you can pop open the mixer and adjust it even more on the actual fader.
