In response to news that an edited (“clean”) version of their eighth studio album, Hot Sauce Committee Part Two, had leaked to the internet, the Beastie Boys announced this week that fans can stream the full, unedited version on their website for free.“Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, the “clean” version of our new album, The Hot Sauce Committee pt 2 has leaked,” reads the announcement on the group’s official site. “So as a hostile and retaliatory measure with great hubris we are making the full explicit aka filthy dirty nasty version available for streaming on our site.”
The album was originally scheduled for commercial release on May 3, and will still be made available from most outlets (including iTunes and Amazon) on that date.
