   With all the random "what's the best?" threads I post up, it's amazing I haven't tried to do this one yet, but

   what's the best remix???

   Not 'cause I'm trying to kiss PUTS *ss, but I seriously think DJ Day's "Step Bacc" remix is one of the best remixes I've ever heard... so fly... and the "Down in LA" Day mix is serious biz too, sho nuff...

   Coz I've been working on a backward scratch but on the other turntable.
   So my head isn't looking at the record but at the fader... tends to skip more than usual tho coz the hand movement is different to doing the scratch the other way around.

   Trying to get a few body tricks going like using my feet to stop and start records but needs more work, might even get bare foot tonight and try some scratching with my foot hahaha might have to stand on a record box or something!
   I dont think it's going to end too well tho lol.

   Yup that's me! I find just cause I'm so big I gotta keep things tight when I get in/out of the backward scratch. Quickest is to put the hand with the fader behind the back and then cheat my body angle so I'm looking at the record (not quite flexible enough to keep my eye on the fader and there's less jerky body movement that way too).
   Feet are hard to get up on the decks it really depends on how high they are off the table, I find using elbows/my chin are the quickest body parts to get on the records for some stop/start and scratching going

    So, in the same vein as the remix... Thes asked a few threads ago about what we'd want to see as far as instrumentals, but I was curious as to what "voice track only"/a cappellas you'd want to see from Thes, ESPECIALLY if you were a beat maker and wanted to remix. Like... what PUTS song would be your ultimate mountain to climb in terms of remixing?

    Cool, yeah I find that's the easier way to get into the scratch, coz my right hand is my "best" fader hand I end up doing the backward scratch on the right hand deck so I can only see the fader and not the record which is a pain but looks kinda cool I guess.

    I've tried some stuff with my feet, but I've got a bad leg and my tables are quite high coz I'm over 6 foot so it aint easy.
    But cool to throw in some body tricks. Future turntablists may evolve to be able to do flares and crabs with their toes haha.

    I have a thing about my face being near sharp objects so I can't even bring my self to start waving it around my mixer and decks. I also feel ironically that I'll be too heavy handed using my elbows!! I've never really tried it properly tho on my Vesta'x's. Might give it a go later.
