Posts: 3,255Posted 14 years ago #*facepalm*... I bet when Wendy/Walter Carlos was using vocoder technology for A Clockwork Orange and Herbie Hancock was making Sunlight, they never could've imagined that phased vocoder would turn into the music-killer it is today.
1) I LIKE impurities in my vocal tracks
2) If you can't make it as an artist without being pitch-corrected and quantized, you shouldn't make it at all.
3) The only exceptions to this are if you use it as a BRIEF vocal effect. If you build a career on it *koff*t-pain*koff*, then don't be surprised if I think less of you as a performer.

EDIT: just noticed the site censored my statement. I most certainly didn't say bullshizzle. LOL

The only pain involved is when that no talent assclown opens his mouth. It's truly painful. I bet Westwood likes him. Thes still said it best, "Either love your art form or be star in show biz."
