I had the question in my head to ask about an AMV2, but I never spoke it, and I'm sorta kickin' myself about it. I guess I just didn't want to get too specific, but I DID get specific enough to stay "rarities from Stepfather onward", and their affirmative response makes me guess that something'll manifest itself soon enough.
... but yeah, if any of you have any kind of inside track to PUTS, definitely put the thought in their heads, 'cause I need me some rarities...

Posts: 36Posted 14 years ago #Hey can anyone describe what this album looks like? I just bought a copy on ebay for $80 and I'm not sure it's the real deal. Mine has 2 brown inserts (one with the cover on it and the other has the list of songs) and the disc is just blank white. From all the pictures I've seen of American Men Vol.1, the inserts are white, but I've never seen what the disc looks like. I set my profile picture as a picture of the one I have. Can you guys help me out?

No etchings on the disc? That picture is quite small.

Posts: 36Posted 14 years ago #No, nothing on the disc, it's just blank white. I think its a homemade reproduction. Which sucks because this is one of my favorite albums and I really want to find it. I'm just going to return it and get a refund.

I did end up getting a full refund for the fake American Men Vol.1 copy I got on Ebay, plus I got to keep it hahahahaha. I was lucky enough to find a REAL copy of the album a few months later. As an added bonus, when PUTS played in San Francisco they were chillin' by the merch. table before the show and I had them sign both sign it. Chris was like, "Damn dude, I don't even have a copy of this album." and Mike was all, "Hey, that's a nice album you got there." and pretended to put it under his shirt to try and steal it, lol. I ended up hanging out an talking with them for a while. They also told me that of the 1000 that were made, about 700+ were destroyed somehow (in a fire if I remember correctly) and about 150 of the 300 left were stolen, so at least 150 of these are known to exist.
