Is this for real???

I love Trouble Funk (In part due to the Beastie's & Rick Rubin's championing of them) but come on, give 'em a break. Why now?
EDIT: Tuff America is an imprint of Tuff City, owned by Aaron Fuchs, this is his business model, buying up the rights to old tracks that have been sampled, then persuing 'infringers'!
How low can you go?
Adam Yauch (MCA) of the Beastie Boys passes away.....sucks...

How low can you go?sickpassed on), then demanding compensation for intellectual property that you didn't even create is f*cking sick. The guy's trying to make an easy buck, and I hope the sh*t gets thrown out for being the frivolous lawsuit that it is.Most of these old funk and soul bands are so off the radar in the new commercial age that their vinyl is cluttering up garage sales... If it wasn't for studious crate diggers, hip hop listeners, and people using these samples, there wouldn't be much interest in these songs anyway (even if you put out some flimsy "essential greatest hits" or something), so any old funk dudes with legitimate claims to the copyright are probably keeping their mouth shut right now and at least happy that the sh*t is in use.
I would say that "MCA is spinning in his grave right now" (as cliché as that is), but I probably shouldn't say it, 'cause if Fuchs found out he was "spinning" Trouble Funk, he'd dig him up and charge him with copyright infringement. Weak.

That sounds so f***ing awesome freshkest. I wish I lived up there, I'd be there with my ear goggles on........been listening to the Beasties since this happened a lot. Such a positive person in the hip hop world....impossible to replace Mr. Nathaniel Hornblower.....tripping out to him in the "Beats Rhymes and Life" documentary.......the part about "bust off on ya couch, now you got Siemin's Furniture"......funny part......

Side note: R.I.P. to Donna Summer
"Love to Love You Baby" is one of the RAWEST tracks I've ever heard. If I could make a woman sound like that, I think my life would be complete.
Maybe not as accomplished as an Aretha Franklin or a Diana Ross, but she's light-years beyond any of the "divas" in recent times.
