Love this question JK93 & thank you. Got me going through all the PUTS albums & reminded me of just how f**king good they are. Obviously, I like some tracks more than others but I found that there is only really 1 track I skip. SF Knights Remix, on ....Or stay tuned. Maybe it was because I was expecting so much more but really do not get it

Honestly, the new album I hate to say it had more misses than anything I've ever heard PUTS make, but as always I respect them for trying to be so experimental.
Beer is a great party song, yall are nuts!
I think overall The Brownout is my least favorite PUTS joint, beat is oddly repetitive and boring for how good the group is, not a huge fan of the first Letter To The Old School on that album either, love the subject matter but the beat is a bit meh.
I'm shocked though someone here felt the outro to Questions in the Form of an answer wasn't a 'PUTS like effort,' honestly I'm sure you guys know about it, but listen to the hidden song at the end. That is just a beautiful f'ing beat, I actually really love how that album ends.

Agree to disagree, man. Sorry to re-issue the shock, but "Play It Again", "The Breakdown", "Outrun", "On & On", "The Mike & Chris Story", "Carried Away", and "Ambien Hallway Music" are all stellar tracks. I LOVE skit intros on albums, but I prefer closing an album out strong like the other PUTS albums, instead of a skit and a hidden shout-out track.Lock N Load said:

If Thes gets around to releasing his limited edition 4-LP instro set that he was talking about, I'd love to see that on there. Sh*t's layered just right.
To continue on thread, though: I have to admit that "D'Nunzio" is not my favorite Thes solo track... I'm down with Z-Trip and all, but after the other two tracks on Noonen...

But you raise a very good point, does anyone in hip-hop do closing songs better than PUTS!?

I'm having trouble coming up with any songs I could totally live without, really just some that I like less than others (like Creepshow or Fly Love Song). I warmed up to the P slowly though, liking a few songs at first and really growing to love how they do their production and how their different rapping styles complement each other. The same spirit runs throughout their work at large which is really an accomplishment in and of itself..........g

Maybe it's my goofy white boy coming out, but I love joke tracks, and I like blasting that track at work and feeling like a skeevy perv for 4 minutes... I would love to see a manager's face if I said, "hey, baby, nice feet..."

Only track I didn't like first time listening to Highlighter, but with each subsequent listen I liked it more and more, while other tracks that I loved on first listen (We Got It, Electric Tookie) began to sour. From the unexpectedly crazy beat with all its intricacies to Double f**king nailing the second verse ("420 miles of runnin blowin smoke" sounds like his flow is runnin over that funky bassline), Second Track has become one of favorite songs on the album.
Gotta agree with Sactown tho in that theres no P song that I really hate.. just some that get skipped more than others, especially Next Step tracks, but thats probably just because theyve evolved so much since then.

Considering they are 8 albums deep, the fact I only axed 3 songs says something of the overall quality of the P's catalog.
