Kid, you wanna know why Public Enemy is important? Do this science experiment:
1) Lock a few suburban white kids up in a few different listening rooms (with huge speakers).
2) In the first room, play nothing but Drake, Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne, etc... watch the kid invite in his friends, get some drinks and snacks, and it's party time.
3) Shrug, move on to room #2, wherein you play Doggystyle, The Chronic, maybe a little Body Count, whatever... now, the kids come out either wanna-be gangsters, or laughing at Ain't No Fun and The Doctor's Office skit and ignoring the rest.
4) Shrug again, and move on to room #3: BOMB SQUAD, m*therf*cker. Don't even let the kid come out for a breather. Play three PE albums in a row... twice through. He'll come out shaken and feel like his ears just got raped.It's not supposed to be enjoyable on the same level. F*ck Drake.
I think I just became my parents. D*mn kids.

And if Bring The Noise was his first taste as a kid then it makes sense that the previous albums don't appeal to him. It's like judging Metallica off of the black album without ever hearing Master of Puppets, Ride the Lightning, and In Justice for All... Which shaped and molded their sound/style. Man, ignorance is bliss I guess!

End of the day Mac Miller is a rapper - he just picks beats he likes. maybe he knew it was originally a Finesse track but then again maybe he didn't. And he's young, a kid. We can all get excited and miss things.

- Finesse got paid
- Wack Miller got taken down a notch
- no legal precedent; that could've started a landslide of similar lawsuits
(I wonder if the P ever got reimbursed for the use of SF Knights in any way other than being 'allowed' to open shows for MM on his tour last year..?) -

Was about to post that myself.It may be annoying to have the P opening for a tool like MM, but at least some folks got to see a great show (and besides less than 5 years down the road dude won't be remembered by anyone, yet PutS will still be going strong/legendary).
