recently read this and wondered if anyone could confirm if thes one smashed up his sp 12 on stage at the troubadour like big jimmy hendrix?
and are there any photos?
also hows thes gonna do this at every show? sp's arent cheap?

Yeah, I bileve that really happened, one show short of the end of the US tour. I guess it was a closure thing or something, after like 40 shows you might be feeling a little crazy too.
Heres some wittnesses, I highly doubt its going to be done at each show, it was kinda a one time deal happenin...

Thes and Double K definitely gave a ton of love to everyone and especially Los Angeles and Thes represented Peru too which was cool. The smashed SP12 was nuts. First these dudes started slam dancing which is the first one I've ever seen at a hip-hop show then a few moments later Thes smashed his SP12 to bits. He said he played 100 shows with that one and he said somehting along the lines of he told himself at the beginning of the tour that in LA it's either him or the sp12 will walk away that night, so you know it had to be done. I actually got a microchip from his SP12 and this lucky dude got the bottom piece of it and Thes signed it as well. Newman, took the top part of it to save for Thes. Newman, was also out dancing during Hangloose.
All in all I walked away with an SP12 chip, PUTS' two new 12" singles, and their 10" single. I was broke as a joke and didn't have any cash walking in but I forgot that I had bought an extra ticket and sold it to a guy who wanted to get in and didn't have one. and No, I didn't hustle the kid I just asked for the face value of the ticket which was enough to pay for the three pieces of vinyl.
A big thanks to Thes and Double K for another memorable Los Angeles night. Thanks again Thes for representing LA and of course PERU!! I also hooked up some Inka Clothing shirts too. Everyone should hook some up.
