   I found an Alesis SR-16 at my pops house with no power cord. So i went to radio shack and picked up an AC adapter that powers 300mA, and it turns the drum machine on but when I hook it up, I have to turn all volumes up way high and the sounds are distorted. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. peace

   yeah, sounds like an impedance mismatch to me, make sure you're using the right output.

   on the back there's a main output left/right, and an aux left/right that both require 1/4 inch plugs and I just put RCA adapters into them and hooked it right up to my computer. I have a big preamp and I can try that out. Thanks.
