I got a lot of great albums this year but a lot werent actually new. The P and Ugly Duckling both put out dope albums as expected so i dont think i need to include them.
my albums of the year:
Ghost - Seldom Seen But Often Heard: fuggin ill UK hip hop. get this.
Dilla - Donuts: proved himself right. such an emotional album. amazing.
Breakestra - Hit The Floor: funk funk funk. fave track: Hiding
The Mars Volta - Amputechture: an intergalactic jam session. pure prog.
honourable mentions:
Cut Chemist - dope album (but a bit short maybe?)
Kid Koala - cool scratch-a-lot album but only a pitstop between 'proper' albums
Plan B - nice effort... but not very varied? I found i havent re-listened to it much.

Nujabes - best japan stuff ever. import now.

JURASSIC 5 - FEEDBACK has got to get a mention.
They put on a better show than nearly an 5/6 perosn hip hop crew.
They may of lost cut, but they all still rip, and he will come back one day i reckon. Just doing his own thing for a bit.
To SYD HEADS - cant wait to see them in Febuary at Good Vibes, not to mention also seeing Beastie boys, JS-1 & Rahzel, DJ Yoda, gonna be a GREAT DAY!!!!

hey AGP just recently saw the bamboos in my home town (blocked off the street in the city w sea containers) and they f**king killed it!, came out and did a killer version of 'tighten up' as encore. first I really heard of em but im now a fan.
optimus - im headed to syd in february for a year so I might catch it. (whats the local hiphop scene like? - where's good to go? (sorry if im geting off topic) -

I guess they don't want hippies buying there music anymore eh?(semi-paraphrased from an interview with the P I read in a mag). Kinda obviouis though, I mean if they want to sell more records they'll need to flip their style. I ain't mad at em though, whatever.
